Nov. 11, 2018. Thrilled NASCAR fans packed the house as Kyle Busch came out the winner of the Can-Am 500 at the new ISM Raceway in Phoenix; the semifinal race of NASCAR’s Monster Energy Series Playoffs. Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex, Jr. will now face each other at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the final showdown of the highly coveted NASCAR championship. Three days of racing marked the completion of ISM Raceway’s $178 million dollar modernization project. Raceway upgrades include new seating, VIP lounges, restaurants, race car garages, escalators, elevators, under the track tunnel, first aid center, RV parking, rest rooms, media center, start/finish line, victory lane, and cooled shade areas.
