Saturday, April 28, was a huge win in the fight against childhood cancer, as hundreds of Valley philanthropists came together for the 2nd annual “St. Jude Presents: A Night in Monte Carlo,” held at Scottsdale Hangar One. Supporters from across Arizona raised more than $173,000 to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and its life-saving mission of ensuring no family that walks through its doors ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food. The gala’s auction, both silent and live, brought in more than $43,000, while the Rolex Raffle amassed more than $15,000. One of the many highlights of the evening included an award presentation for renowned “auctiontainer” Letitia Frye. She was honored with the first-ever Letitia Frye Honorary Award for her years of service to St. Jude.
