Mar. 19, 2017. Thousands of fans braved the intense desert heat as the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup drivers took to the track at Phoenix International Raceway. Throughout the race, fan favorites exchanged the lead. But, much to everyone's surprise, the winner was Ryan Newman. Ryan had experienced a drought of 127 no-win races prior to the race.
