Jan. 30, 2017. Phoenix International Raceway held a press conference at The Camby Hotel to unveil new details and specific upgrades for its $178 million modernization project. The event featured special guests from NASCAR, INDYCAR, as well as leaders from the motorsports industry. Also attending was Craig Jackson with his lovely wife, Carolyn, and retired Senator Dave Durenberger. Among the race drivers present were NASCAR drivers Joey Logano, Daniel Suárez, and Brennan Poole, plus 2016 Indianapolis 500 Champion, Alexander Rossi.
