Mar. 29, 2016. The 25th Anniversary of Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame, presented by the Scottsdale Culinary Festival and the Scottsdale League for the Arts. Winners are Mel Mecinas | Chef of the year, Sacha Levine | Best Upcoming Chef, Julian Wright | Restaurateur of the Year, Ross Simon | Mixologist of the Year, Preston Thoeny | Brewer of the Year, John McLoughlin | Winemaker of the Year, Christina Barrueta | Food Writer of the Year, Short Leash Hot Dogs | Food Truck of the Year. The Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient is Christopher Gross. He is a James Beard award winner & his culinary endeavors continue with Christopher’s & Crush Lounge, which has consistently earned awards locally and nationally.
