Friday, Dec. 4, 2015: The United Phoenix Firefighters Association came together from across the Valley to ring bells to support the Army’s Red Kettle Campaign at Fry’s. The firefighters were joined by the Arizona Rattlers cheerleaders and their mascot, Stryker. Donations raised through the red kettles will help fund more than 60% of The Salvation Army’s year-round social service efforts and programs. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015: Following the annual Coats for Kids drive, The Salvation Army will hosted a coat distribution event at the Phoenix Citadel Corpson.The organization distributed between 800 and 1,000 coats and aims to raise awareness of children’s needs in the community. The United Phoenix Firefighters were onsite to assist children in finding their perfect coat.
