The fundraising season began on March 22 with the feeney/winthrop 19th Annual Benefit Concert at Phoenix Art Museum – Whiteman Hall, a longstanding tradition that continues to bring the community together in support of The Worker’s mission. This year’s concert raised over $60,000 for the organization’s workforce development and housing stability programs. The event builds on a legacy of generosity from the feeney/winthrop Band and its supporters, generating more than $820,000 over the past 18 years. The concert also honors the organization’s origins. In 1988, community leaders Matt Feeney, Mike Geddes, and Mike Baxter founded St. Joseph the Worker to address a critical need to help individuals overcome barriers to employment.
