Nov. 15, 2015. NASCAR fans experienced a rain delayed and rain shortened Quicken Loans Race for Heroes at Phoenix International Raceway. For the day, the raceway was renamed Jeff Gordon Raceway in honor of retiring racing legend Jeff Gordon. After hours of rain delays and the sounds of jet dryers constantly circling the track, the Race For The Chase, began. The race was fast and furious, but ended because of another major downpour. Dale Earnhardt, Jr., got the win while three others (Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr.) joined Jeff Gordon to advance as the final four to compete for the coveted 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship trophy in Homestead.
