Zeus Looking for a Mount Olympus to call his Own

Found emaciated when he was seized for cruelty in February of this year, Zeus has overcome quite a lot before being rescued by the Arizona Humane Society. Now his next hurdle to conquer is finding a true forever home that gives him all the love and care he deserves.

At seven years young, Zeus was found with a Body Condition Score of just one out of nine but thankfully he is very treat motivated and has worked to put on some healthy weight in his time at the shelter. Because of his past, this handsome pup is hoping to find a forever family that understands he needs a special home that allows him to go at his own pace.

Zeus is happiest in smaller groups, is a huge purveyor of treats and loves splashing around in kiddie pools. Because of his sheer energy levels and not knowing his own size, this sweet boy would do best in a home with older kids and meeting the whole family before going home to give endless kisses and high fives.

As a part of AHS’ ongoing Big Dog Adoption Special for dogs 50 pounds and over, Zeus has a $0 adoption fee to help him find his perfect forever home. Zeus’ waived adoption fee includes his neuter surgery, current vaccinations, a microchip, and a follow-up wellness exam with a VCA Animal Hospital. Visit this handsome boy at the Arizona Humane Society's Papago Park Campus or learn more at azhumane.org/adopt to give him the loving forever home he deserves.
