Pumpkin is a gorgeous one-year-old gray American Pit Bull Terrier mix bursting with love and energy and now available for adoption at the Arizona Humane Society's South Mountain Campus. This sweet and affectionate girl came to the shelter as a stray, accompanied by her eight newborn puppies.
With nowhere else to turn, the adorable family received lifesaving care in AHS' Mutternity Suites, a quiet, medically supervised area for pregnant and nursing mama dogs to care for their pups until they can be placed in a Foster Hero home. Once cleared, Pumpkin and her little ones continued receiving care in a foster home until the puppies were old enough to be on their own.
After nurturing them to strength and independence, Pumpkin is ready to be the cherished baby in your home. This pointy-eared pup is incredibly social and thrives on physical activity, making her an ideal companion for daily walks, playtime, and interactive toys. Pumpkin's love for treats makes her an excellent candidate for positive reinforcement training to help her learn the ropes of living in her future forever home. Reward her with a tasty treat when she exhibits good behavior, and watch her blossom in your care.
Interested adopters can meet precious Pumpkin at AHS' South Mountain Campus location. Pumpkin's adoption fee includes her spay surgery, current vaccinations, a microchip, and a follow-up wellness exam with a VCA Animal Hospital.
