With one of the cutest dispositions but a clear hesitation and shyness around people at first, Perla’s physical scars are not the only ones she carries. The adorable three-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer mix was brought into the Arizona Humane Society as an injured owner surrender after her previous family was not able to properly care for her.
With wounds to her face, neck and chest as well as being underweight, Perla was in rough shape when she came to AHS in November of this year. Upon examination in the shelter’s trauma hospital, her injuries were found to be in need of draining as well as medication to fight off the infection.
Once she was able, Perla continued on her healing journey in a loving Foster Hero home who says she is the sweetest pup! And while she has been through a hard time and is quite timid at first, the spotted girl will open up to play and cuddle once settled, especially when there are treats involved.
Interested adopters can meet precious Perla at AHS' Sunnyslope Campus location. Perla’s adoption fee includes her spay surgery, current vaccinations, a microchip, and a follow-up wellness exam with a VCA Animal Hospital.
