With the 4th of July holiday being one of the busiest times of the year for shelters due to runaway pets, along with dangerous summer temperatures, the Arizona Humane Society is in great need of Foster Heroes to help pets this summer. One such pet is adorable Atlas, a two-year-old Pittie mix.
Atlas is currently enrolled in AHS' Project Active Duty foster program that helps provide temporary foster care to pets while their owners are deployed overseas with the military. This adorable pup's family says that he is a very active boy who loves to be around his favorite humans and get lots of belly rubs. As playful as they come, he also loves to play with fun toys!
While his owner is overseas, Atlas is looking for a foster for about 90 days until his family is ready to pick him up. Fostering with AHS is incredibly easy, free and lifesaving as it allows the shelter to make much-needed kennel space to continue saving other pets with nowhere else to go.
