Corduroy the Pittie Pup Survives Deadly Parvovirus!

Meet our resilient and sweet friend Corduroy, a four-month-old Pittie puppy who came to the Arizona Humane Society as an owner surrender through its Animal Assistance department. Unfortunately, his previous owner was no longer able to afford his care and turned to AHS to get him help.

After testing positive for the highly deadly, highly contagious Parvovirus, Corduroy received thorough medical treatment in AHS' Parvo ICU, where his hydration and appetite were closely monitored. Despite developing signs of kennel cough, this cute boy made a full recovery in a loving Foster Hero home where he also received treatment for allergies.

Now active and attention-seeking, this adorable boy is ready to show off what a playful and loving pup he can be. With more than 200 dogs and puppies treated for parvo at AHS this year alone, Corduroy's journey through illness to recovery is a great reminder to vaccinate your pets.

To help combat AHS' extreme overcapacity issues, all adoptable pets have $0 adoption fees through Sunday, July 7th thanks to Bissell Pet Foundation!
