Lovable Senior Shepherd Gladys Can\

Gladys is a charming 7-year-old German Shepherd mix who is a staff favorite at the Arizona Humane Society. Despite her lovable nature, the floppy-eared pup has been with the shelter longer than they would like. An unfortunate trend AHS is seeing with its large breed dogs, no matter how wonderful they are as companions!

This sweet pup arrived in January as a stray and quickly won the hearts of the shelter's team while undergoing treatment in AHS' trauma hospital. While continuing to recover in a foster home, Gladys was described as a "treasure" who loved being around her people! Although she is older, Gladys would thrive in a home that can provide adequate mental stimulation and physical activity suited for her breed.

Gladys absolutely adores car rides, excels on a leash, and is a big softie at heart. As an older dog, she does have some medical needs like dry eye and hip dysplasia, which AHS' amazing adoption team can discuss with anyone who falls in love with this sweet senior girl.

Gladys' adoption fee, along with all dogs 50 pounds and over, is waived to help her find her perfect forever home! Those interested in learning more can visit her in-person at AHS' South Mountain Campus.
