He features three main styles: the panama, the fedora, and an assortment of western.
“Years ago, I seldom saw women in my store, but now women are wearing fedoras and panamas almost as much as the guys.”
Glisson gleefully admits sales are up 300% from last year, and credits the growing popularity to young talent sporting the tasteful trend. Just take a look at “American Idol” or “Mad Men”…many are completing their outfit with the savvy addition.
“It’s great; I get both the young and old frequenting my store.”
This summer, consider investing in a panama. The light-weight straw hat is made in Ecuador and can be worn casual or dressy.
But if you prefer a vintage look—go fedora (my personal fave!). They’re the classic caps of the 1920s.
However, if you’re a chic trend-setter, design something unique. Glisson can make all your hat dreams a reality.
“People can come in, bring me a picture of a hat, and I can replicate it.”
