National Seat Check Saturday at Larry H. Miller Dealerships
If you’re a parent of a young kiddo, you’ll definitely want to check this out. On National Seat Check Saturday (Sept. 29), Larry H. Miller Dealerships, in partnership with Safe Kids Arizona and local first responders, will kick off a series of free Saturday events to help Arizona parents ensure their car seats are properly installed. The first event will be held at Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Avondale and Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Avondale on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 8 to 11 a.m.
Swan Lake with a Splash!
Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona (Free Arts) is celebrating its 19th year in collaboration with Dance Theatre West and the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts with the annual Storybook Ballet performance on Saturday, Sept. 29, at 3 p.m. This year’s performance is Swan Lake with a Splash! Young children from local homeless shelters and foster care group homes will join the Dance Theatre West Storybook Ballet Company on stage. This free dance performance is lighthearted, fun and perfect for the entire family. RSVP here.
Seventh Annual Fall Concert Series at Scottsdale Quarter: British Invasion
Unwind at Scottsdale Quarter for the seventh-annual Fall Concert Series, a free concert series taking place in The Quad. Live music from the band British Invasion can be enjoyed from 5 to 7 p.m. and will run at the same time every Saturday through Oct. 27 (a different music group will be showcased each week).
Popovich Comedy Pet Theater at Chandler Center for the Arts
From high-wire balancing acts to hilarious pranks and high jinks, the cast of Popovich Comedy Pet Theater, made up of adorable pets from animal rescues, show off their amazing skills in this performance the whole family will love. There are three performances on Sept. 29: 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Momma’s Organic Market
Momma’s Organic Market returns outside at Park West in Peoria. More than 100 vendors will be there from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturdays this fall. They will be displaying fresh produce, natural meat, wild-caught fish, local dairy, fresh bread, raw milk, local honey and much more. There will be amazing local food, handmade items, kid’s activities, food trucks and more.
