American Girl Dolls are popular for many reasons - they're well made, and dolls that come with a story (I fondly remember the American Girl books from my elementary years) and they even have a store where you can completely customize your dolls! If your little doll has an American Doll, then I have an amazing event for you!
On November 3rd, Ahwatukee Children's Theatre (ACT) is partnering with American Girl Dolls to present the second annual American Girl Fashion Show. There will be three shows, at 10am, 2pm, and 6pm, and the show will focus on both historical and contemporary fashions for both girls and their dolls. American Girl characters like Cecile, Addy, Caroline and Josefina will all be featured, along with their 'girls' dressed in the same outfits.
Over 75 models from around the Valley will be showing off the dolls and their matching fashions - girls 8 and up will be wearing outfits from the contemporary, Girl of the Year, and My American Girl collections, and little ones will model the Bitty Baby line.
This year, the American Girl Fashion show will take place at the Chandler Center for the Arts - a beautiful venue for such a fun-filled and exciting day!
Tickets are on sale now and are $30 per person. Ticket price includes refreshments, party favors, raffles, door prizes, and of course, a little bonus for your American Girl doll - a trip to the on-site doll hair salon! If your little one would like to model with her doll, 'guest model' passes can be purchased for an additional $35. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Chandler Center for the Arts at 480-782-2680 or on Ticketmaster. The shows did sell out last year, so I'd get tickets purchased soon!
