Sometimes, there's nothing better than a burger. At Indulge Burgers, an upscale burger joint on Scottsdale and Shea, delivers not only delicious burgers, but meat that is certified humane (important for our family) and fresh, delicious food that is cooked to-order.

Above is a chili-cheese burger, a recent special when our family visited. As you can see - this is a fork and knife type meal. Besides the daily specials, there are fantastic menu items, like the Vesuvius Volcanic, black bean veggie burger, as well as an entire separate menu for gluten-free eating. My husband tried the Vesuvius Volcanic on another recent visit and we both agreed that the cheese-stuffed burger was fantastic.

Indulge Burgers also has a great kids menu - but the food is plentiful and easy to split. There's house-made macaroni and cheese (no boxed stuff here!), two mini-hot dogs, and, of course, two slider burgers. You can choose fruit or fries to accompany the kid's meals, and we usually go with the fruit. One thing that I love about Indulge is that you have the option to build your own burger or salad. You choose the meat, bun, and toppings. Sometimes I want grilled chicken with blue cheese, and sometimes I want a burger with bacon and cheddar - and I love that I have so many options to choose from on Indulge's menu.

There's a small enclosed patio with misters and in the evening is quite shaded - so a fun spot to sit when it's cool enough. We sat outside for an early lunch and found out that they have breakfast on Saturday and Sunday starting at 9am - and they have all kinds of eggs benedict - lobster, kobe beef, veggie...you can bet we'll be back for a breakfast visit soon!

They also have a lot of drink specials - happy hour runs from 3:30pm-6:30pm every day, and they have 'ladies night' on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with 1/2 off drinks and appetizers. On Sundays, they have a $5 beer pitcher special - which includes locally brewed suds like Four Peaks' 'Kiltlifter' and, when we visited, a red ale called 'Red Rover' from Sleepy Dog Brewery in Tempe.

I have to share 'the rules' that are placed on every table at Indulge. They make me laugh and I love the spirit where they come from - good food takes time, and to enjoy yourself and the atmosphere and the company while you wait. We're so rushed in today's world, and sometimes we need a cleverly-worded reminder to slow down. (For the record, I don't think our wait times were anything to complain about when we visited - but I can imagine they get quite busy and that may increase your wait time.)

So, feel like a burger? I do! Visit Indulge Burger in Scottsdale, and I think you'll find a delicious new spot to add to your restaurant list.
