Nestled at the base of Camelback and Mummy mountains, you'll find a historic Paradise Valley restaurant that boasts a fantastic legacy of delicious dinners and drinks. However, El Chorro also serves a delicious Sunday-only brunch, and it's a welcoming spot for your family to enjoy a lovely meal.

When we visited recently, it was still chilly, but the patio was still full - so we sat inside. The views were still beautiful as the large French doors were open to the majestic mountain scenery and allowing the fresh air to sweep through the dining room.

You might think El Chorro is a 'no go' for kids - which I might agree with you for evening dining (if I'm paying $40 per person for dinner, I'd like to enjoy it thoroughly!!), but brunch is a different story. There's a great kids menu, along with a large coloring book and eco-friendly soy crayons. Plus...there's sticky buns! A basket of these delicious treats, along with scones and muffins, are brought to your table prior to your breakfast arriving. Yum!

I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict, pictured above, and we also tried the french toast - both were delicious. The coffee is strong, the servers are incredibly attentive and nice, and the bloody mary is a great morning pick-me-up!

It's quite busy during the brunch hours (9-3), and we arrived around 11am. If you really want to sit outside, then I'd recommend coming as early as possible for your family. If you end up waiting, explore the beautiful grounds surrounding El Chorro and take some great photos. There's a garden that's utilized by the kitchen that was bursting with fresh herbs and tomatoes when we visited - it's great to see more and more restaurants growing their own produce!

El Chorro is located at 5550 East Lincoln Drive in Paradise Valley. You should definitely stop in for the fantastic brunch, or take your special someone here for a lovely dinner!
