Children's Day at Japanese Friendship Garden
Children's Day in Japan is a national holiday celebrating the healthy growth and happiness of children. Enjoy a family-friendly day full of entertainment at the main stage, Taiko drumming and workshops, ice cream, snacks and delicious food vendors during Children's Day at Japanese Friendship Garden from 1 to 5 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $5 for military and students and free for children 6 and under. “Mummies of the World: The Exhibition” at Arizona Science Center
The mystery of mummification has long-captured audiences. Valley residents can now admire the ancient practice up-close with the Arizona Science Center’s new “Mummies of the World: The Exhibition." The exhibit features 40 real human and animal mummies, as well as an additional 85 rare artifacts from around the world. “Mummies of the World: The Exhibition” is a limited-time engagement requiring a timed-entry ticket and purchase of general admission. Advance purchase is highly recommended. The exhibition ends in September.
