Bacon, Blues & Brews at Founders’ Park

They had us at “bacon.” This Saturday, Founders’ Park in Queen Creek will host the fifth-annual Bacon, Blues & Brews Fest. From noon to 9 p.m. enjoy inventive bacon dishes, frosty brews, blues tunes by Harlis Sweetwater Band and the Sonic 77s, a kid’s zone and eating competitions. A portion of the proceeds will benefit East Valley Firefighters Charities. Tickets can be purchased online, or at the door for $20. Kids 12 and younger are free.

The Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships 

The Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships return to WestWorld of Scottsdale on Nov. 2 with a fresh lineup of sweet and savory treats to make the World’s Greatest Polo Party even greater. In addition to other can’t-miss VIP experiences, each ticket to the Barrett-Jackson Champagne Lounge includes bottomless mimosas through halftime of the first match and complimentary French fries all day in the tent. In keeping with the Fried & Fizzy theme, general admission ticket-holders can enjoy a pop-up fried chicken and Champagne experience. On top of this year’s tasty new experiences, the ninth-annual polo party will feature four lively polo matches, animal fashion shows, a halftime Lacrosse match, a preview of the 2020 Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction, one-of-a-kind performances from Arizona’s No. 1 oboe player, an acoustic guitar showcase presented by Sanderson Lincoln, a “hip hopera” fusion and songs from “Americano!,” which hits the stage at Phoenix Theatre next year, and so much more. General admission tickets start at $30.

AAWL Walk to Save Animals at Tempe Town Lake

Walk your pup with a purpose. Join AAWL for its largest annual fundraiser, A Walk to Save Animals. You and your fur baby can walk a 2K or 5K with a team or individually. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their favorite sports attire. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and general admission is $35. All funds will benefit efforts to end animal homelessness. In addition to fundraising there will be tailgating, a beer garden, shopping, eating, opportunities to chip your pet, a photo booth and much more. Learn more at support.aawl.org.

“On Tap” Beer and Bourbon Festival at Sloan Park

Don’t miss the first ever “On Tap” Beer and Bourbon Festival. From 2 to 6 p.m., attendees can sample beer and bourbon from over 30 breweries and distilleries such as the Beer Research Institute, Beam Suntory, Four Peaks Brewing Company and more. There will also be live music and classic ballpark food.  General admission tickets are $40 and include a commemorative glass as well as 12 drink tickets.
