Now through Jan. 2, the Residence Inn/Courtyard by Marriott Phoenix Downtown, located in the heart of Downtown Phoenix, is hosting a coat drive to collect clean, gently worn, warm coats to donate to local Arizona charities as part of the nationwide One Warm Coat drive. The goal is to collect 50 coats which will be distributed to local families in need via Phoenix Rescue Mission.

“There are nearly 50 million Americans currently living in poverty and struggling to provide a warm coat for themselves or their families, even here in normally sunny Arizona. One Warm Coat’s program helps us keep all of the coats we collect in this community, which will make a big difference for our neighbors who need a coat, or children who may be stuck inside because they simply don’t have a winter coat,” says Coat Drive Ambassador and the Residence Inn/Courtyard by Marriott Phoenix Downtown’s Sales Manager, Ashley Sears, in a press release.

To participate, simply drop off your clean, gently worn coat inside the lobby of the newly opened Residence Inn/Courtyard by Marriott Phoenix Downtown at the northwest corner of Central Avenue and Madison
