The DC Wonder Woman Run Series, produced by SON Events in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC, comes to Tempe Beach Park on Sunday, March 24. The DC Wonder Woman Run Series, which debuted in 2018 with five runs in California, is designed to empower people from all walks of life to harness their inner Wonder Woman and unleash the Super Hero within. Both 5k and 10k races kick off at 9 a.m. More than 5,000 women, men and children dressed in bold and colorful, official DC Wonder Woman Run Series attire and other Super Hero costumes are anticipated to take part. 

In 2019, the series expanded to at least 10 cities, each featuring a 5k and 10k, and in some locations an additional half-marathon for endurance runners. Race registration includes exclusive race attire kit and medal of completion, commemorative race bib and chip timing, complimentary photos, and entrance to pre-race expo and post-race finish line festival with live entertainment. Participants can also purchase additional Wonder Woman branded apparel and accessories online or at the event to enhance their race attire.

A portion of the proceeds from the event in Tempe will benefit WISE Arizona (Women in Sports and Events), the leading voice and resource for women in the business of sports. As part of a national organization, WISE Arizona’s mission is to empower women in the business of sports with the tools to reach their career goals. Through peer support, mentoring programs and professional development and training, the chapter strives to help members maximize their potential, sharpen their skills and advance their careers at every stage of their professional journeys.
