The compound will host the First Annual Cattle Track Tour, a free two-day event offering visitors an unprecedented opportunity to explore one of the Valley’s most distinctive and historically significant artist communities that has grown up alongside Arizona.

Nestled along a stretch of land, the compound traces its roots back to the 1930s and was once used by pioneers driving cattle and sheep through early Arizona. Today, it remains a working arts community where studios, workshops and hand-built desert structures stand as living reminders of the state’s creative and frontier heritage.

During the tour weekend, guests will be able to walk through areas of the compound that are rarely accessible to the public, including artist studios and historic buildings. Visitors will see artists working in their spaces, experience live art demonstrations and enjoy music throughout the property.
