Desert Foothills Library to Host Black and White Ball on November 1
An elegant evening of dining, dancing, and dazzling black-and-white attire to support community programs at Desert Foothills Library.
CAVE CREEK, Ariz. (August 5, 2025) – The Desert Foothills Library (DFL) invites the community to save the date for its upcoming fundraising event, the Black and White Ball, on Saturday, November 1, from 5 to 9 p.m.
The evening will take place at the non-profit Desert Foothills Library, located at 38443 N. School House Road in Cave Creek. Inspired by Truman Capote’s iconic Black and White Ball, guests will experience a night of glamour, elegance, and community celebration.
Guests can expect music, dancing, cocktails, a sit-down plated dinner and an unforgettable evening of classic glamour, timeless black-and-white elegance, and community celebration. An exclusive Speakeasy VIP experience is also available.
“We are thrilled to bring this reimagined black-tie affair to the library,” said Library Executive Director Debra Lay. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to support library programs while enjoying an unforgettable evening.”
General admission tickets are $250 per person, and the Speakeasy VIP experience is $325 per person. Pre-registration is required. For information or to RSVP, call 480-488-2286 or visit www.dfla.org.
Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the library’s educational programs, lifelong learning initiatives, and community services, ensuring that Desert Foothills Library continues to provide free resources, classes, and cultural events that enrich lives throughout the Cave Creek and Carefree areas.
Nestled in the scenic foothills of Cave Creek, the Desert Foothills Library is a serene oasis surrounded by the natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert. With its tasteful architecture, warm community spaces, and inviting gardens, the library offers an elegant backdrop for an evening of timeless glamour and community celebration.
“We invite the community to dress up, step out, and celebrate the magic of the library with us,” said Kiersa Holleschau. “The Black and White Ball is more than a glamorous night out, it’s a chance to support a vital community hub that brings learning, connection, and inspiration to all who walk through our doors.”
