Singer-songwriter Ryan Montbleau first emerged from New England in the early 2000s, building his reputation on ecstatic live shows that balanced boisterous rock and roll energy with intimate folk introspection. Over the past 20 years, he has collaborated with artists as diverse as Martin Sexton, Trombone Shorty, Tall Heights, and Galactic; shared bills with such stars as the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Ani DiFranco, the Wood Brothers, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and Mavis Staples; and racked up more than 100 million streams on Spotify. His slyly humorous and deeply revelatory songwriting has been compared to that of Bill Withers and James Taylor.

Montbleau’s latest album, the ambitious Wood, Fire, Water, and Air, was released in February 2023.
