RISE Festival Sheds Light on Sexual Assault Awareness Month with Spectacular Event

Glendale, AZ - April 6, 2024 - The RISE Festival is proud to announce its support for Sexual Assault Awareness Month with a special event scheduled for May 11, 2024, from 11:00am to 4:00pm at The Great Lawn, located at 1 Cardinals Dr, Glendale, AZ 85305.

As part of our commitment to raising awareness and supporting survivors of sexual violence, tickets for this year's RISE Festival will be on sale throughout the month of April 2024. All proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit survivors of sexual violence, providing crucial support and resources to those in need.

About RISE Festival:  
The inaugural RISE Festival marks the beginning of an annual tradition dedicated to art, culture, and community engagement, with a meaningful focus on supporting survivors of sexual violence. As a fun-filled event with a purpose, all proceeds, including those from the raffle and auction items, are directed towards aiding survivors on their journey towards healing and empowerment.

The distribution of funds is carefully curated to maximize impact and provide vital support to survivors:

• 80% Allocation to Survivors Empowered:
  A significant portion of the proceeds will be allocated to Survivors Empowered, enabling the creation of scholarships for survivors to attend The Meadows Behavioral Healthcare. These scholarships provide invaluable opportunities for survivors to access specialized care and support on their path to recovery.
• 15% Allocation to Amplify Voices:
  A portion of the proceeds will be directed to Amplify Voices for their dedicated work with survivors in Arizona. Through advocacy, education, and support services, Amplify Voices amplifies the voices of survivors and works tirelessly to create a safer and more supportive community for all.
• 5% Allocation to RAINN:
  Additionally, a percentage of the proceeds will be contributed to RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) for their extensive work with survivors nationwide. RAINN provides critical support services, advocacy, and resources to survivors of sexual violence across the United States, making a profound impact on countless lives.

Through the collective efforts of the RISE Festival and its attendees, we strive to create a brighter future for survivors, empower their voices, and promote positive change in our communities and beyond.
