Description
Women’s Orchestra of Arizona invites you to join us and “Feel the Love,” our concert of classical and movie-inspired love themes. The concert is Sunday, February 5, 2023, 3:00 P.M. at Ascension Lutheran Church in Paradise Valley. Enjoy Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty Act 1 Valse Suite, Op. 66a. The theme of classical love will also include Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni, Romance for Horn & Orchestra Op. 36 by Saint-Saens and featuring soloist Martha Sharpe on French horn, and Salut D’amour Op. 12 by Elgar and featuring violin soloist Diane Sullivan. The concert also includes romantic medleys from the movies “Love Walked In,” “Somewhere in Time,” and “Titanic.”
Admittance by donation. Eventbrite ticket required.

WOA, the Women's Orchestra of Arizona, was founded in 2016 to provided musical opportunities to empower women musicians and to benefit the greater community. As the second all-women's orchestra in the US (after Cleveland's Women's Orchestra), we look to bring hope and opportunity to all aspiring female musicians in the community.
The orchestra welcomes members from all walks of life who are looking to play in a musically stimulating yet supportive environment. The orchestra is made up of high school students, retired musicians, teachers, healthcare practitioners and players from as young as 15 to the age of 70.
