Events: Arizona - Phoenix - Scottsdale

The 10^th annual Arizona Balloon Classic, hosted by Arizona Events Group, will take place on Friday, January 22, 2021 through Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Goodyear Ballpark (1933 S Ballpark Way, Goodyear, AZ 85338).

This socially distanced and outdoor event will feature activities for the whole family!

The Arizona Balloon Classic

On Saturday, January 23 and Sunday January 24th from 7:35 am – 8:35 am, the Arizona dawn sky will be filled with brilliant blues, purples, oranges, and reds as the hot-air balloons participate in thrilling “Hare & Hound” races from the grassy fields of the Goodyear Ballpark. Spectators can walk on the field right next to the balloons and experience the inflation and lift off.  Photo taking is invited.

Desert Glows

On Friday, January 22 and Saturday, January 23 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm come experience a field full of illuminated, tethered, hot air balloons glowing in time to music.

Family Fun Zone

Ticketed and free activities available on Friday, January 22 from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Saturday, January 23 from 7:00 am – 9:00 pm, and Sunday, January 24th  from 7:00 am – 12:00 pm. An assortment of activities including hot air balloon rides and tethered rides, free inflatable games, stunt bike shows, fireworks (Saturday only), live entertainment, sampling, and more.  Retail shopping and commercial exhibits for purchases or browsing.

Street Foodfest

Our 4th Annual Street Foodfest is truly a culinary experience! Enjoy a variety of beer and wine in our beer gardens, local food truck and festival food favorites, live music stage, and more! The Street Foodfest takes place Friday from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Saturday from 7:00 am – 9:00 pm and Sunday from 7:00 am – 12:00 pm.

One day admission for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday is $20 at the gate. It is recommended that tickets are purchased online at www.abcfest.com as some of the more popular events do sell out.  Online tickets sales and a discount ticket promotion starts Friday, November 27th, 2020 (Black Friday). Active Military and Children 12 & under are always FREE.  Group ticket packages available. General parking is available for $5 at the ballpark.

Each year, Arizona Balloon Classic donates a portion of alcoholic beverage and ticket sales to a local non-profit. This year’s partner is Valley of the Sun United Way. The three-day event last year raised $7,500 for the local organization.

Please note, no pets allowed. All ballooning events are dependent upon weather conditions. No refunds. Rain checks offered to other balloon events due to cancellation. Valley of the Sun United Way’s mission is to break the cycle of poverty for Valley families.
