Scottsdale, Ariz. (Jan. 13, 2020) – Taco Festival at Salt River Fields celebrates “Tacos, Tamales, Tequila & Tango” and comes to the award-winning stadium to deliver an epic party with more than 30 taco and tamale makers, from restaurants, food trucks and chefs, along with a robust schedule of colorful entertainment – all packed into a one-day event – Sat., April 4 , 11am –7pm, 7555 N Pima Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85258.

A limited time pre-sale general admission ticket of $8 is on sale today, available through Mon., Jan. 27, at  https://saltriverfields.com/taco-fest/.

Taco Festival at Salt River Fields aims to be a different take on the beloved taco event, embracing tamales, tequila and tango, yes, tango, plus a full schedule of colorful entertainment.

Taco Festival at Salt River Fields will deliver one big delicious party to celebrate tacos, tamales, and tequila wrapped in an entertainment experience,” said Dave Dunne, General Manager, Salt River Fields.  “We’re delighted to expand the menu and also invite fans inside the stadium itself for a great day of food, fun and good times.”

The event will take fans inside the award-winning Salt River Fields, unlike other popular festivals often held on the acclaimed stadium grounds, on the facility’s exterior perimeter.

The wildly popular homage to tacos offers the bargain-of-a-century $3 tacos from a wide range of taco makers, plus foods such as tamales and more, with purveyors assembled at one location for guests to discover and savor.  Tacos are anticipated to be available in a wide variety of options, including the traditional beef, chicken, pork and also vegetarian, dessert flavors (sweet), and others, from a colorful collection of taco makers. The event also pivots to present savory and sweet tamales from authentic Arizona tamale makers.

And at this fiesta, guests can test their dance skills with an expert tango instructor, see a colorful ‘Day of the Dead’ Circo, cheer on traditional Lucha Libre performers and participate in a few contests like the Tiny Taco Dog Beauty Pageant and others.

“We’re enthusiastic to expand on the excitement that tacos bring to any party,” said Reed Glick of R Entertainment. “Tamales and tango are a natural addition, plus this event will have a fun entertainment experience in store as well — it’s a perfect mix to the great food and drink in that beautiful stadium.”

Taco Festival at Salt River Fields will be an exciting foodie event and simultaneously a people's choice taco competition.  Fans can vote for their favorite taco and tamale makers, all assembled to taste and enjoy.

The award-winning Salt River Fields, renowned Spring Training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies, hosts several major festivals and community events throughout the year, however, they typically occur on the stadium’s exterior grounds.  The interior stadium site for Taco Festival at Salt River Fields offers additional entertainment assets and conveniences, such as the 24 x 48-foot-high LED video board so fans don’t miss one zany taco happening nor any tamale & tango fun, and, of course, not to be underestimated are the permanent restroom facilities available, among other conveniences.
