Scottsdale Quarter will usher in the holiday season with its eighth-annual Santa Social. The highly anticipated holiday kickoff event is on Saturday, Nov 30, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., in The Quad. The popular event features a day of festive, family friendly activities, including photos with the jolly man in red, live entertainment, a tree lighting ceremony and a movie under the stars.

Festivities will begin with Santa’s arrival at 10 a.m. Attendees will enjoy live holiday entertainment by Ooh La La Booths, interactive games and activities and more. In addition, the Arizona Animal Welfare League will have puppies available for adoption. Back by popular demand, will be the interactive Santa experience in addition to him posing for pictures in front of an old-fashioned red Chevy. There will be two selfie stations and log cabins selling whimsical holiday-inspired items.

The celebration will conclude with the ceremonial lighting of the center’s 35-foot Christmas tree at 6 p.m. This symbolic occasion will be followed by the showing of the holiday favorite movie, “Home Alone.” Families are invited to lay out blankets, grab a snack from one of Scottsdale Quarter’s delicious eateries and settle in for the movie at 6:15 p.m.  

The Santa Social Schedule of Events:

10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Puppy adoptions with Arizona Animal Welfare League

10 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Caricature Artists

10 a.m. – 6 p.m.: Face Painting 

10 a.m.:                Santa arrives

10 a.m. – 8 p.m.: Photos with Santa (cost applies)

4 p.m. – 6 p.m.:  Kids Entertainment with Ooh La La Booths

6 p.m.:                  Annual Holiday Tree Lighting

6:15 p.m.:            Home Alone

Scottsdale Quarter will be open from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. so visitors can take advantage of great Black Friday’s extended weekend offers at the center’s celebrated retailers.
