Join New Life Center, one of the country’s largest domestic violence shelters, for its first ever Starry Night Gala on Friday, November 8, at the Arizona Biltmore. Guests of the event will be treated to a full three-course meal, wine, entertainment, inspirational survivor stories and more. Money raised at the event will go toward the cost of protection, shelter and critical services for more than 1,000 domestic violence survivors, most of which are children.
In 2018, through the shelter’s successful programs, 61% of guardians reported that the post-traumatic stress levels of their children decreased upon completion.
“We strive to make sure that each shelter client coming from a distressing, sometimes near fatal situation, can have the most personalized and positive experience with us,” said New Life Center Chief Executive Officer Myriah Mhoon. “The money raised from this event ensures that the staff, shelter and programs are adaptive and trauma informed so our families have the best chances of healing.”
WHO: New Life Center, an emergency shelter and outreach program for domestic violence survivors that serves more than 1,000 children and adults annually.
