What: The second annual Noche para los Ninos is a spectacular one-night benefit event for Kids in Focus that is a delightful feast of the senses. This exciting and mysterious evening features a variety of live music and experiential acts including contortionists, jugglers, stilt walkers, tarot card readers, and other jaw-dropping performers. Guests will also enjoy a hosted bar, delicious food stations from Valley restaurants, a silent auction, raffle and a moving display of photos created by at-risk children.

Why: Each year over 78,600 Arizona children experience the pain of abuse, neglect, and/or homelessness. Kids in Focus (KIF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and equipping at-risk kids to shift from surviving to thriving. Through the restorative power of photography and with the guidance of dedicated mentors, kids are inspired to open their eyes to their own potential. Since 2012, KIF has transformed the lives and outlooks of hundreds of children through its life-changing afterschool programs, camps and alumni programs. KIF serves 230 children annually and connects with children through partnerships with local organizations including Children First Leadership Academy, Boys & Girls Clubs, Sequoia Deaf School and several foster care agencies.
Funds raised at Noche para los Niños will be used to fund KIF’s intensive photography mentoring programs for at-risk children in Maricopa County. Through classroom lessons, field trips, one-on-one time with mentors and the healing powers of photography, the children take a journey of creativity culminating in a public photography exhibit, a hardbound book and new self-confidence and hope for the future.
2019 Food and Beverage Sponsors: Last year’s food and beverage sponsors included Blanco Taco and Tequila, Nibbler’s Catering, Nothing bundt Cakes, Postino, The Parlor, PourMasters. For 2019 we plan to see the return of some of these sponsors as well as several new delicious additions.
