The Arizona Taco Festival is celebrating its 10 Year Anniversary, bringing another year of fiesta fun bringing more competing restaurants than ever, from all around the country competing for $10,000 in cash, while an expected 30,000 attendees feast their way through more than 100 types of tacos throughout the weekend.

The Arizona Taco Festival, Sat & Sun, Oct. 12 & 13, 11am-7pm, earned its star status as an event that offers $3 tacos in chicken, pork, beef, seafood, and veggie. An abundancia of Mexican fare will also be celebrated and devoured at the event. Last year, restaurants, caterers, amateurs and nightclub/food spots sold more than 100,000 tacos at this now annual classic taco-topia!

Good Tacos, Serious Competition & 50 Taco Society Judges. Arizona Taco Festival is a fabulous foodie event and simultaneously a serious taco competition. More than 50 Taco Society judges are sequestered to determine winners in double-blind tests in a closed tent for anonymous scoring. Points are awarded and weighted for presentation, taste and execution. Cumulatively, scores lead to an overall Grand Champion. There will also be a People’s Choice Award to make sure the people have their day-in-taco!

Eating & Fun. Outside the judge’s tent, this exciting festival offers its legendary Tequila Expo — featuring more than 100 types of Tequila, Mezcal, Sotol, Bacanora and more; the Ay Chihuahua! Beauty Pageant; Lucha Libre Wrestling Arena; Hot Chili Pepper Contest; Day of the Dead Wedding; Celeb Chef Cooking Demos, a Hot Sauce Expo, local bands, DJs, and many new surprises to mark its 10 year anniversary. Most importantly, the festival will grant attendees access to tacos ($3 each) prepared by 60+ competing professional taco makers, restaurants, chefs, and food trucks.
