Join us this Memorial Day Weekend for a board game tournament fundraiser benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project.

The Plan

Our event begins at a bright and early 0800 at the McDowell Mountain Ranch Center. We’ll start the day with an all-abilities nature walk on paved terrain to get things warmed up. During our walk, we’ll enjoy the sights and sounds of nature while learning about the local environment. Afterward, we’ll maneuver inside and start our gaming tournament, featuring “Trekking the National Parks.” A brief tutorial will be provided, breaking down the tournament structure and game mechanics. The winner of the tournament will receive a copy of Trekking The National Parks and prizes from our other sponsors. There will also be a raffle at the event for an additional copy of Trekking The National Parks and prizes from our sponsors.

Anyone who does not wish to compete in the tournament but would still like to spectate is welcome to hang out after the nature walk. Information about the Wounded Warrior Project will be available if you’d like to learn more about their cause. Come and join us this Memorial Day Weekend to celebrate our veterans and give back to those who serve us.

What to Bring

We recommend bringing suitable walking shoes, sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc), and a jacket just in case it gets chilly while we are outside. If you have anything you would like to contribute to the event please reach out to us in advance.

What We Will Provide

Cold Beverages (organic coconut water, non-gmo sparkling water in various flavors), hot water with tea options, and bottled water.

Non-Gmo and Organic healthy snacks (Fig Bars, fruit snacks, Kind Bars, popcorn, Clif Bars, trail mix, nuts)

All the Gaming Equipment necessary (table, chairs, games, board for tracking the tournament)
