Sunday Funday 5K & Brunch Festival Slated for March 31

Fido-Friendly Event to Benefit the Arizona Animal Welfare League

GILBERT, Ariz. – Lace up those running shoes and get ready to party, because there’s never been a “fun run” quite like this one.

Gilbert’s Sunday Funday 5K & Brunch Festival provides the perfect opportunity to day-drink and delve into some of the region’s best brunch fare, guilt-free, and it’s all going down starting at 8 a.m. Sunday, March 31 along the Western Powerline Trail in Gilbert.

First up is the 5K race, which will welcome runners of all skill levels as they compete for the coveted Sunday Funday Golden Mimosa on their way to the after-race Brunch Festival in the Gilbert Heritage District. There, they’ll find a near-endless lineup of brunch offerings alongside an equally impressive assortment of morning cocktails and beer options. From inventive takes on the Bloody Mary and mimosa to an unrivaled selection of brunchtime food options from local restaurants (think bacon, French toast, omelets and donuts, to name a few) there’ll be plenty for revelers to sip and sample soon after their feet hit the pavement.

It’s also a Fido-friendly event, with a portion of all proceeds benefitting the Arizona Animal Welfare League, so grab the pups, the guys or gals, or the entire family and make the last Sunday in March one that no one will forget.
