Chances are, those New Year resolutions are long broken by the time mid-February rolls around, meaning there's no better time to attend the East Valley's ode to all things ooey, gooey, syrupy and sweet.

Sweets Festival is set for 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at Gilbert's Civic Center Park (50 E Civic Center Drive), giving sweets fans of all ages a five-hour window in which to consume massive amounts of cookies, cakes, candies, donuts and other sweet treats, guilt-free. Expect the unexpected with a variety of fun concoctions from various local restaurants and vendors. It is your own Candyland game come to life.

Revelers can swing by the Cookie Castle, the Cupcake Commons or the Gummy Gulch for a taste of what lies inside, or work their way up the Chocolate Mountain or through the Lollipop Woods on the hunt for even more candy-coated surprises. Over-21 attendees can sip on Sweet Cocktail Concoctions throughout the festivities while multiple kids zones, a sweet treat scavenger hunt, a s'mores making station and crafts for the little ones add icing on the cake.

Our entertainment zone will feature those around the valley that will be on stadium tours in he future. The Family Rocks entertainment zone will be rocking with performances by teenage bands across the state. School of Rock will be putting together a variety of local bands to entertain crowds with "sweet" tunes as they taste their way through the festival. 

A pie eating contest, cookie decorating and cupcake decorating areas will have you smiling from ear to ear.

How about "sweet" cocktails for adults? Sip and sample a variety of fun cocktails and traditional beer, wine and spirits while you enjoy the tunes, sample the sweets and watch your kids enjoy the playland of bounce houses and rides. Visit our Donuts and Drafts zone or our Lovers Lounge and treat yourself to adult beverages. 

A portion of the proceeds benefit Foster Arizona. An amazing local charity helping the youth in our Valley year round.
