M3F isn’t just a music festival, it’s a philanthropic movement that’s donated over $1 million to local charities, bettering Arizona through their mantra of the 3 C’s: Community, Culture and Charity. This year, as M3F strives to support Phoenix through music, a portion of M3F 2019’s proceeds will benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s Music Therapy program. The event will take place March 1-3 at Hance Park in Phoenix. Headliners include Odesza, Empire of the Sun, Kurt Vile and the Violators and more.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s Music Therapy program is growing, and as of September 2018, staffs two full-time music therapists. M3F is excited to nurture this program that benefits the patients of Phoenix Children’s Hospital both physically and mentally.

According to the American Music Therapy Association, music therapy is clinically proven to help relieve pain and reduce stress for the patient, resulting in physiological changes such as improved respiration, lower blood pressure, improved cardiac output, reduced heart rate and relaxed muscle tension.

Since the launch of their music festival in 2004, M3F has made it a priority to donate 100% of their proceeds to local Arizona charities. In the past, M3F has donated to Habitat for Humanity, Smiles for Special Needs, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, UMom New Day Centers, Golden Gate Community Center, Phoenix Day, Ear Candy non-profit Music Organization, Boys Hope Girls Hope, Arizona’s Children Association, and Arizona Quest for Kids.
