Description

Returning for the second year as Co-Chairs, Dr. Stacie J. Stephenson and Mr. Richard J Stephenson are thrilled to be at the helm once again leaving their mark in the Childhelp history books with their leadership during this milestone celebration. Overseeing everything from the evening’s entertainment and stunning decor to sponsorships and generating awareness, Childhelp is honored to have the Stephensons return for another spectacular Gala.

Childhelp National Board Members, Carol and Jim Hebets, have devoted themselves to the Childhelp mission and honor the organization with their continued support and leadership as Vice-Chairs of the 2019 Drive the Dream Gala. Their commitment to advocating for children and families under Childhelp’s care is felt throughout the organization year round and is sure to make a lasting impression at February’s event through their planning and fundraising efforts. Helping victims of child abuse is more than just a desire; it’s been the lifelong mission of founders Sara O’Meara and Yvonne Fedderson. Founded by the ladies in 1959, Childhelp is one of the largest and oldest national non-profit organizations dedicated to the treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect. For 60 years, its programs, which directly serve abused children and their families, focus on meeting the children’s physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs. Each day, it is estimated that more than 5 children die as a result of child abuse and child abuse is reported on average every 10 seconds— that’s over 3 million reports per year. With your support, we can positively impact the lives of thousands of children and change the world one dream at a time. Since 1998, the Childhelp Children’s Advocacy Center of Arizona Dedicated to Linda Pope has served abused and neglected children by providing treatment, intervention and investigation services. Cheerful colors, teddy bears, toys and child-friendly paintings line the walls of the fully accredited advocacy center, enhancing each child’s sense of safety and well-being. The goal of the center is to provide medical treatment, mental health therapy, efficient investigational resources, and victim support services to bring justice and healing to those who have been abused.
