Enjoy a weekend full of American Indian art, music, dance, storytelling, and food at the 42nd Annual Indian Market on December 8 and 9 presented by the Pueblo Grande Museum Auxiliary at Pueblo Grande Museum! Gates are open for the Market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Tickets for this annual fundraiser event are only $10 and include Museum admission. Discounted tickets available for Museum Members, American Indians, active duty and retired service members, children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

In addition to visiting the hundreds of artists at the Market, families and art enthusiasts alike will love exploring the Ki:him! In this area of the Market, get to know the artists and their process in a more intimate setting, with a variety of demonstrations and hands-on activities. Visitors can participate in activities such as archery, atlatl spear throwing, community painting, beading, and pottery making to name a few.

Tony Duncan, five-time world hoop dancing champion will teach visitors of all ages how to hoop dance while Violet Duncan, former Miss Indian World and author, will be doing storytelling. Entertainment on the main stage this year includes the melodic guitar of Gabriel Ayala, award winning hoop dancing by Tony Duncan, and high energy dances by Indigenous Enterprise, and many other performances of song and dance. Miss Indian Arizona and Miss Indian World open the market each morning at 10 a.m.

Each year, the Indian Market is honored to have the Ira H. Hayes American Legion Post 84 of Sacaton post and retire colors. Set amongst the historic beauty of the Pueblo Grande Museum and Archaeological Park, this Indian Market offers a unique experience. Guests shop over 100 booths of authentic American Indian fine art and collectibles walking beside an ancient platform mound, ballcourt, and replica Hohokam dwellings. By including Museum admission with Indian Market tickets, visitors can take the opportunity to tour the archaeological site and explore the heart of Phoenix history.
