Events: Arizona - Phoenix - Scottsdale

On Thursday, August 23rd, a group of local artists will convene in downtown Phoenix to put their skills on display for FLASH Paint! Over ten artists will show off their talents over a whitewashed wall using varying styles including graffiti and mural artists, live, throughout the night starting at 6:30 p.m. Guests will be able to watch real time artists in action throughout the event.

This pop-up art exhibit will remain on display for only a few days - but never fear, art lovers, these artists, and others talented locals, will be back creating more real-time art during downtown Phoenix's First Fridays. Starting Friday, September 7, EFFEN Vodka will begin its search of an Arizona artist to design a limited-edition bottle sleeve to be featured on thousands of bottles, distributed statewide. Over the following months, artists will compete in four preliminary rounds. Finalists will compete in mid-December. The top three artists will receive cash prizes and the winning artist will have their sleeve featured on a limited-edition bottle of EFFEN Vodka in fall 2019.

When:  FLASH Paint begins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2018.  The EFFEN Vodka bottle sleeve competition will kick off at 6 p.m. on the following First Friday dates:

• Friday, September 7, 2018
• Friday, October 5, 2018
• Friday, November 2, 2018
• Friday, December 7, 2018

Where:  The FLASH Point event will be held on the APS Wall at the corner of 1st Street and Garfield, on the east back alley of The Churchill. Locations for the bottle sleeve competitions during First Friday are to be determined.
