She was always the first one to step up and support her peers, and now they’re doing the same for her.
Alexis “Lexi” Shultz left a measurable mark on her family, friends and fellow students before unexpectedly passing in November 2015, and now they’re joining together to see that her legacy lives on through the third-annual “Live Like Lexi” Charity Cornhole Tournament, slated for 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 at Majerle’s Sports Grill in Chandler. This free-to-attend event will feature two-person cornhole teams competing for great cash prizes, and all registration fees ($60 per team) and donations collected will go toward scholarships for students who share Lexi’s anti-bullying stance starting in 2020 – the same year Lexi herself would have earned her diploma.
In addition to live musical entertainment, the event promises food, fun, a silent auction and a chance to contribute to Lexi’s cause.
