Celebrate Día del Niño at Heard Museum 

WHO:  Heard Museum, Signature Sponsor Tony and Milena Astorga Foundation, Sponsors Applied Materials and First Things First, event Partners Arizona Diamondbacks, Native Health, Xico Inc., Free Arts of Arizona, Act One, Harmony Project PHX and Phoenix Indian Center; local families and kids of all ages.

WHAT:  The Heard Museum will celebrate its second annual Día del Niño or Children’s Day, with a community celebración and free admission to the museum for children 12 and under with up to two accompanying parents or guardians. Families will enjoy a day of fun that includes arts, book readings inside the museum with special guest readers, music, dance, games and activities for kids of all ages. There will also be specials all day from the Heard’s Courtyard Café and Coffee Cantina.

Activities will include a mobile print-making station with Xico, Inc. and a special guest artist, instrument petting zoo brought to you by Harmony Project Phoenix, arts & crafts lead by Heard Museum, Native health, Phoenix Indian Center and others. Kids can also participate in an Explorer Passport Program that will guide young visitors through the museum galleries. By completing, the passport kids will be entered into raffles that take place every 30 minutes for a variety of fun prizes including museum memberships, gift cards to the museum café, Arizona Diamondback merchandise and tickets to games this season. This is a free event.
