Local architects, interior designers and builders are putting their canine intuitions to the test for the Design for Dogs competition in Scottsdale.
A dozen professionals have been commissioned to design, build and donate a swanky pet palace to the event, formerly called Wine for Woofs Beer for Barks, where the homes will be auctioned off and compete for “Best in Show.”
The event also includes a puppy kisses booth, adoptable dogs, local wineries and breweries (admission includes four beer/wine tasting tickets) and light bites.
The money raised at this event helps the Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL) put a roof over more than 4,000 homeless pets’ heads every year. AAWL is the state’s oldest and largest no-kill shelter.
