Description
On Sunday, Dec. 17, at 3 p.m., the Phoenix Women’s Board of the Steele Children’s Research Center at the University of Arizona College of Medicine is organizing a fun run/walk along the Arizona Canal. The 5k Fun Run/Walk includes face painting, music, treats for all participants, and a t-shirt for all race participants. Local businesses such as Starbucks and Smoothie King at 56th Street and Indian School will donate coffee and smoothies for participants too. The event raises awareness and funds for the PANDA (People Acting Now Discover Answers), a fundraising board that supports research being done at The Steele Children’s Research Center. Participants should gather at Arcadia Park – the walk will begin on the Arizona Canal (56th Street to 68th Street and back). Registration begins at 2 p.m.
