STEP RIGHT UP TO A ‘CARNEVIL’ UNDER THE BIG TOP

AT THE ‘NIGHTMARE ON PRINCESS DRIVE’

- 8TH Annual Halloween Party at the Fairmont Scottsdale -

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (October 6, 2017) – Step right up, step right up! It’s the grandest (and most twisted) show on earth under the big top at CarnEVIL, as the “Nightmare on Princess Drive” returns to The Plaza Bar, 9 p.m. – 2 a.m., Saturday, October 28, 2017. This indoor/outdoor nightspot, in the plaza of the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, is the perfect place to enjoy fall weather and spine-chilling Halloween bash.

This year’s spooky theme is “CarnEVIL,” where party-goers enter if they dare into a vintage, turn-of-the-century carnival gone wrong. DJ Pulse will mix the best lounge and dance music, setting the stage for fun house mirrors, stilt walkers, carnival barkers, fire breathers, contortionists and a Halloween costume contest at midnight with prizes. Harlequin clowns and sideshow servers stir up cotton candy, popcorn and enticing cocktail concoctions ($14) including:

  • Ringmaster – Made with 1 ½ oz. gin, ¾ oz. crème de violette, ¾ oz. lemon juice, ¾ oz. pineapple syrup and absinthe-rinsed glass. To make at home, combine all ingredients and shake well. Double strain in to a martini glass that has an absinthe rinse. Garnish with a lemon peel.
  • Creepy Nights – Made with 1 ½ oz. bourbon, ¾ oz. lemon juice, ¾ oz. of red wine and ½ oz. of simple syrup. Combine all ingredients except red wine and shake well. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and pour red wine to float on top.

Admission to the party is complimentary and reserved VIP tables with bottle service are available by calling 480-585-2694. The Plaza Bar opens at7 p.m., with the party starting in at 9 pm, and is located at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess at 7575 East Princess Drive in Scottsdale. Self-parking is $5 and valet is $10. For those who want to take the elevator home, the resort is offering a special room rate on October 28 starting from $109 plus tax and resort fees.
