Description

W Hotels has earned musical prestige as a launch pad for creative renegades and an incubator for the next-big-thing. Inspired by their brand’s roots, four W properties on the west coast are setting the stage September 21 - October 5 with the launch of the W TOUR LIFE series, stopping at W San Francisco, W Seattle, W Scottsdale and W Los Angeles – West Beverly Hills.

Up-and-coming female band, LJ Laboratory, will be headlining each city with a visually arresting performance as a precursor to their upcoming debut album release Analogue Interference. The tour will stop at W Scottsdale on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.

The opening act will be a tough one to follow: WHAT SHE SAID, W Hotels’ worldwide ladies-only series that brings powerful, progressive women together (think Diane von Furstenberg, Courtney Wartman of Clique Media as past panelists), will begin each show with a top-tier, regional panel of inspiring women movers and shakers from the music industry.

Each WHAT SHE SAID panel will be comprised of four to five women, consisting of members of LJ Laboratory alongside music industry executives. The panel will be moderated by Lauren A. Spalding, the manager of LJ Laboratory, made up of four powerful jazz musicians using narrative, artistry, innovate designs and analog synthesizers to transport their audiences into a sci-fi journey reminiscent of Kraftwerk. Their A-list, multi-GRAMMY-winning production team has worked with Prince, Daft Punk and Kanye West. Following the panel, LJ Laboratory will take the stage for a live performance at all properties and a DJ set at W Scottsdale.

At W Scottsdale on October 4, Jamie LeVine, chief communications officer of Steve LeVine Entertainment (SLE) will take the stage. LeVine directs the agency’s communications business which specializes in event planning, coordination and production, talent booking and management, marketing and promotions, new media and design. She is an expert on leveraging national and local media partnerships that have translated to business growth at SLE.

The first-ever W Tour Life series will aim to align music with a message, tapping emerging artists to inspire the next generation of bold thinkers seeking a foothold in the industry. All events are free and open to both guests and locals alike. Please visit bit.ly/wtourlife for more information and to RSVP.
