Valley Resort Hosts Contest
Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort in Phoenix has announced its Family Freeze Frame Photo Contest. Visitors--whether local or out-of-towners--can easily upload their pictures taken on property during their summer vacation for the chance to win a three-day stay with $200 in resort credit each day. In order to win, Facebook fans will be able to upload their photos through Aug. 8, each with a caption of 30 words or less. The pictures will be voted on by family, friends and fans from Aug. 9-23. And--ta da!--the person who took the photo with the most votes wins a return to the resort.
Restaurant Raises Funds for Yarnell Hill Fire
Looking for a way to contribute to the relief of the devastating Yarnell Hill Fire? Beginning today through Tuesday, SOL Mexican Cocina at Scottsdale Quarter will be raising money for the relief efforts. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from each guest's first Partida Margarita (a yummy blend of Tequila Partida Blanco, fresh-squeezed lime juice and agave nectar; not pictured) purchase will benefit the 100 Club of Arizona. The funds raised will help injured firefighters and their families, cover travel expenses for the family members of the fallen firefighters, replace safety equipment for the fire departments, provide peer support and counseling, scholarships, and any other future or immediate needs.

Shine up your dancing shoes and join the Valley’s best dancers gathering in the Downtown Phoenix Convention Center on Aug. 17 in hopes of becoming one of Suns newest dancers.
The Suns are looking for girls with the energy and talent of the premiere dance teams in the NBA. Dancers can attend one of the prep classes in July and August to better their chances.
