Description
The Civic Orchestra of Tucson begins its 43rd season with a free concert of masterworks by great composers. Charles Bontrager conducts the 75-member, all-volunteer community orchestra in his inaugural season with the orchestra.
The program opens with two works by Mozart: Overture to "The Magic Flute," followed by Chauncey Roach performing the Clarinet Concerto in A. The program concludes with Dvořák’s beloved Symphony No. 8.
Musicians in the Flowing Wells High School orchestra join the orchestra in “Danse Bacchanale” by Camille Saint-Saëns at this concert.
