She’s the owner of Scottsdale’s Sensational Events, creating one-of-a-kind experiences your family and friends will never forget.
“We really take a vision from a client and think ‘how can we make this bigger and broader,’” said Petrovsky.
She’s been in the wedding planning biz for more than ten years, and says 2011 is the year of elegance and simplicity mixed with an eclectic, exclusive flair.
“Very sexy, very romantic, white carpet, clear walls.”
Petrovsky is high-lighting her stuff at this year’s Phoenix Bridal Show, coming just in time for those post-Valentine’s Day proposals. It’s at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess on Sunday, February 20th, where more than 100 local vendors will unite, giving brides-to-be a taste of wedding trends.
“This year people are having fun with colors; for example, yellow and white with black accents. Florists have a lot of fun with that because they can be very edgy.”
Speaking of flowers, she says centerpieces are now a statement in itself. We’re seeing a lot of flower-candle combinations, as well as creative displays of differing arrangements.
“They’re not so perfect and precise this year. They are tilted, tied, and different heights.”
While brides are getting their creative juices flowing, Petrovsky encourages a harmonious theme.
“Your invitation, linens, dresses, sound of music; everything should be tied together.”
She says the sound of music you’ll want in 2011 is live entertainment. Petrovsky challenges you to ditch the DJ, or at least add to the ambiance with a band or string quartet. The look and feel of hearing and seeing those instruments are quite trendy nowadays.
